Rosewood’s Garden, our home in Scotland

I am sitting down at my desk, but literally I have just walked indoors from the garden where I sat with a coffee and enjoyed the vivid array of flowers now that it is nearly the end of June.  Our garden is looking so beautiful and that is in an indifferent summer when the sun has been very bashful and it is not all that warm – which is common in Scotland!

The birdsong was intense and the buzzing of the bumble bees and honey bees all converging on a favourite cotoneaster was very loud and satisfying.  The butterflies will come once it is a little warmer….if that good fortune arises!

The rhododendrons, the aquilegias, the lupins, the primulas, the irises and oriental poppies plus delphiniums and geraniums and petunias and other glorious offerings are all competing with each other to provide a spectacular show of the Glory is the Garden. The roses are yet to come.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2015

I was fortunate enough to be accredited press to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on the press day on 18th May and that was a hugely enjoyable experience….my first press day at Chelsea of which I am a great fan.  I wrote about it for Platform 505 and made a whole gallery to give a virtual tour of all that was on offer - view gallery of Chelsea Flower Show 2015.
